What we collect

  • Account data — your name and email address, handled through our authentication provider (Clerk) when you sign up or sign in.
  • Product data — items you add to your shortlist, your alert settings, and the notifications generated for you.
  • Payment data — if you subscribe to Pro, your payment is processed by Stripe. We receive your subscription status, not your full card details.
  • Usage & device data — standard logs, approximate location (from IP), and cookies needed to run the site and understand aggregate usage.

How we use it

To provide and secure the Service; to authenticate you; to power your shortlist, alerts, and CSV exports; to process subscriptions and prevent fraud; to respond to your enquiries; and to improve the product. We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers (“sub-processors”) who process data on our behalf under contract, including: Clerk (authentication), Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), and Resend (transactional email). We may also disclose data where required by law.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and security, and limited analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.

Data retention

We keep account and product data for as long as your account is active, and thereafter only as needed to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email info@hedgefundintel.com. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

Children

The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
